Summer 2005

Pioneer Millworks offices and mills are now 100% wind powered! Exciting news for the buncha' tree lovin' environmentalist that we are. This makes PMW flooring not only reclaimed, but also milled by a 100% renewable power source. Granted, there are probably questions to be answered, so we've taken a stab at some of them here.

While sorting out some Foundry Maple that was delivered to us from Missouri, one of the mill guys found a Buster Brown Shoe Factory tag. Few things stir up the office more than the stories & histories we gather about the wood that becomes a Pioneer Millworks floor.

Speaking of Foundry Maple, we've just unveiled its sister line. Boardroom Maple adds a more refined look and feel and we think it'll be the hot item for the Fall.

Kyle has returned from our first appearance at the Pacific Coasts Builders Conference [Or PCBC for those of you in the know.] A lot of great conversations were had with a number of new clients and they got to show off their new display - pun intended.

And for our dealer friends, we're about to unveil a new webpage we feel may be useful in helping to better estimate turn around times. You'll find Alan & Samuel's Molder Blank Inventory on the electric interweb, which we'll be updating weekly with numbers to help you know if those "rush jobs" are a possibility.

The mill update is entering its second phase. More concrete is being poured, (around a basketball courts' worth. Hmmm, lunchtime hoops anyone?) and more new equipment is being installed.

A little bit of history: If you're looking for something that has appeared in our previous news pages, you can find archived versions below.

Boardroom Maple, the more clean-look counterpart to the popular Foundry Maple, shows beautiful grain patterns darkened by its exposure to the industrial environment.
