After patiently explaining to hundreds of potential clients that we don't make engineered flooring due to the lack of demand...
Actually, there were a number of good reasons to delay our entry into this market, things that we wanted to get right before attaching our name to a product. We wanted to make an engineered floor that wasn't a throw-away item, that was stable and had a recycled wear layer, that was made as close to our backyard as possible and that utilized formaldehyde free adhesives. We've managed to hit all the goals we set ourselves and the result is what we consider to be the finest engineered floor available - Pioneer Millworks Commercial.
Helping us select the adhesives we recommend for our new Engineered floor is our good friend Walter Lourie of Thinking Out Loud. Walter's a bit of ninja when it comes to installing recycled wood and is also the representative of Uzin, a German company that specializes in super high quality wood glues, catalyzed water-based finishes and sealers. We were so impressed when we were introduced to their line of products, that we decided to offer them to our own clients as the perfect complimentary finishing system.
Fresh from their debut at the Hospitality Design Show in Vegas, our very own Jered and J.O. had such good feedback from the assembled hoards of designers and architects that they decided to show our stuff to a whole new crowd at HD Boutique 2007 in Miami Beach when the temperatures drop a little.
